Humanitech: "Changing the World Bit by Bit"

The mission of Humanitech is to bridge the gap between computer science and community service. We want students to be able to use and grow the computer science skills they acquire in the classroom in a way that gives back to the community, both locally in Atlanta and on a global scale. We want to help computing students realize the potential for change they have and how they can make a difference, and then let students go out and code the change they want to see in the world.

This semester, we're focusing on connecting members with technically community service and outreach opportunities. Some opportunities include teaching elementary school students and girl scouts at weekend workshops, helping non profits with technical problems through the organization Hands on Tech, creating apps to support Atlanta non-profits through SEMA Development, and more.

Come on out to one of our meetings! We meet Monday nights at 8pm in CCB 347.

For more information please contact Keagan Long (klong35@gatech.edu) or any of the other officers.
